Muskoka is a regional municipality located in Central Onario, Canada that’s famous for its laid back “cottage county” feel and Muskoka Chairs.
This beutiful cottage county definitley deserves a spot on my blog because I’ve neglected Muskoka which I’ve already visited 4 times of too long.
Muskoka extends from Georgian Bay in the west, to the northern tip of Lake Couchiching in the south, to the western border of Algonquin Provincial Park in the east. Located approximately 2 hours away from Toronto this beautiful county is a popular cottage and camping site for winter and summer time. During summer people enjoy water sports, beaches and camp fires, and during winter months winter sports and warmth of cottage fireplaces occupy most of Muskoka.
I’ve also ventured to the Huntsville a small town in the centre of Muskoka District which is small and charming, just like you would expect it to be. And I also visited Arrowhead Provincial Park. During winter season part of the park trails is converted to the skating route, which is a fun way to enjoy the winter park.
